Initial Ideas and storyboards

What I have done this week is think about an appropriate story for the project. According to what me and Joe have discussed, it is going to be a story about a farmer and the pigs. The pigs are in 'jail' and it is the prison break in pigs version. Since this is a one minute animation, it can not be complex and condense in order to make it easy for the audience to understand. I want the characters to be characterised clearly and show significant personality which should be able to achieve in a minute.

I have considered different camera angles because I hope to show that thrill of those pigs when escaping from the farm. I was not happy with the first storyboard because it does not show a lot interesting factors and the background is too restricted to outdoor. I think I should introduce the story background at the beginning of the story and maybe more close up scenes of the characters in order to magnify their features and personality as well as the facial expression.

Some scraps that might be useful to the story.

On Sunday, I decided on another storyboard which is approved by Joe and myself. The storyline is better that the previous on and the only thing I concern now is the timing but this can be referred later. Joe wants the background to be more prison-like with spot lights and barbed wire fences in order to add some drama and tension to the animation.

I need to draw a more refined storyboard and discuss with Matt on Monday!
